Woo hoo!
Last year, I put more stock in the Washington Monthly's rankings, mainly because they took the time to explain how they came up with them. U.S. News' rankings, however, seem to put a lot of weight on some generally useless areas.
It's tough coming up with criteria for these sorts of things, but based on MIT's placement, I'd say the Washington Monthly does a much better job than U.S. News.
