Hey you guys! I recently had the pleasure of meeting Kevin Rustagi '11 and interviewing him at the Guitar Center about his club: the MIT LMC (Live Music Connection). To be brief, the MIT LMC is basically a club that brings together various MIT bands through concerts, shows, and various other events. They have a (FREE!) CD out that's available on their website, as well as iTunes. Kevin gave me a copy of the CD, titled Like Never Before, and I'm really loving tracks 4 (Levi Schmidt - I Don't Mind (Live)) . In addition to talking about MIT LMC, Kevin also gives his advice on admissions as well as serenades you guys with a little jingle he made up. Check it out!

Sorry for being MIA you guys! I've had a tough couple of weeks, but I'm back! Thursday night/Friday morning was filled with intense tooling, but it was well worth Friday's deliciousness. My friends and I normally go out to dinner on Friday night as a reward for working hard all week. This week, we went to Buk Kyung II, a Korean restaurant in Allston. So yummy.

The last 2 weeks have been such a whirlwind of activities. Last weekend was Utopia, a big boat cruise and party in the Boston Harbor. MIT CSC (Chinese Student's Club) hosted it, and a bunch of students from other schools (Harvard, BU, BC, Tufts, Wellseley, etcetc) came and it was a lot of fun. Then, yesterday night Wong Fu Productions came to MIT! They're the guys behind Yellow Fever, Just a Nice Guy, and a bunch of other shorts and music videos. I've been a fan of them since high school, so I was super excited that I got a chance to meet them. Be sure to watch the end of my video, WF's Philip Wang and Wesley Chen tell us why MIT is special to them.

Welcome to my home

Finally, my first blog post!

It has been such a hectic week. It's exam season, so I have been up late studying/youtubing for the past week. I had an 18.023 (Calc w/ Applications) and 8.02 (Physics II) exam last week, 14.02 (Macroeconomics) this week, and 15.501 (Accounting) the next week. Thankfully my tests are spread out, allowing me to focus on one subject at a time.

After taking tests, I normally go back to my room to take a nice long nap. My room this year faces the Charles River, and we have 4 large windows that I normally open to let the breeze in. I like to turn on my music and just nap in my bed, forgetting about how difficult the last exam was (just kidding, it's not always bad...just...a lot of the time).

Often times, my neighbors will drop by when I am napping and come in for naps themselves (MIT students LOVE naps). My best friends live literally steps away from me, and since my roommate and I have the room in the middle, there are always lots of people in our room. In the dorms at MIT, you get to pref who you want to live with, what floor you want to live on, the type of room you want to live in, and who you want around you. This year, I was lucky enough to get all my preferences fulfilled.

Basically, my room is one of my favorite places at MIT, welcome to my home.
