❗️All spring programming on campus has been cancelled as a protective measure in response to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). For more information and alternative ways to explore our campus, please see our latest blog post.
The MIT campus visit is a two-hour program that includes an information session and campus tour. Information sessions for undergraduate students are led by MIT admissions officers and cover a variety of topics including academics, campus life, and the admissions and financial aid processes. A student-led campus tour immediately follows the information session.
Reservations are strongly recommended, but not formally required. However, please note that our sessions often fill well in advance. Should you visit without a reservation, we will do our best to accommodate you, but cannot guarantee that we will have capacity for you and your party.
If you are unable to visit campus during a time when programming is offered, you can download a self-guided walking tour map.
Severe weather: What if MIT closes?
In case of severe weather, the Admissions Office follows the Institute emergency closing guidelines. If MIT is closed, the Admissions Office is closed and all visit programming is canceled. We will post any closures to mitadmissions.org and notify you of any cancellations by email. If you would like to reschedule your visit, it’s easy! Simply fill out a new reservation form.
