The MIT Campus Visit is a two-hour program that includes an information session and campus tour. Information sessions for undergraduate students are led by MIT admissions officers. They cover a variety of topics including academics, campus life, and the admissions and financial aid processes. Immediately following the information session is a student-led campus tour.
Reservations are strongly recommended, though not formally required, for the information session and tour.
If you are unable to visit campus during a time when programming is offered, you can download a self-guided walking tour map.
Severe weather: What if MIT closes?
In case of severe weather, the Admissions Office follows the Institute emergency closing guidelines. If MIT is closed, the Admissions Office is closed and all visit programming is canceled. We will post any closures to mitadmissions.org and notify you of any cancellations by email. If you would like to reschedule your visit, it’s easy! Simply fill out a new reservation form.
