one of the reasons I love dawn
is it reminds me that the sun will always rise
on my worst of days
during my best of times
no matter what
the world moves on
that doesn’t mean I don’t matter
I’m no insignificant blip in the universe
it means I am part of something much bigger than myself
something in which
the only constant is change
because time marches forward
always
