all the notes i took in (another) week by Veronica P. '27
but it was midterm week so it's just crib sheets
2.002: Mechanics and Materials II
This feels a bit full circle, because the first time I made this blog I created a note sheet for 2.001, the first version of this class. Our professor encourages us to think of this class as a tree, so this first midterm covered the ‘trunk’ of stress and strain, as well as the ‘branches’ of elasticity and visco-elasticity. We were allowed one page of notes, front to back, which you can see here:

2.008: Design and Manufacturing II
My next midterm was on Wednesday, and this midterm covered a variety of manufacturing processes: thermoforming, injection molding, cutting, and joining. This exam was the very last thing I had to do before spring break, so you can really see my motivation dwindling by the end of this note sheet.

Overall though, a pretty solid set of notes. In fact, I open the very first question, and I notice that I’ve recreated the same diagram right on my note sheet!

Easy! The three angles are shear angle, rake angle and…. shear angle??? again?

Relief angle, the answer was relief angle.
Let this be a reminder to all: double check your crib sheets.
