three mysteries and two tributes

At Meet the Bloggers this year, a prefrosh came up to me and saw my shirt and said “I know you.” This happens at most MTBs. Then he said: “you’re the guy who writes updates and stats about the class.”

That isn’t who I was, but it’s who I’ve become, for a variety of reasons. Maybe sometime I’ll blog about how that’s happened, and how I feel about it. Some of the bloggers feel like they owe me some blog posts; well, I feel like I owe the readers some blog posts.

But I’m not going to worry about that right now. I’m just going to give you some vignettes into stuff I took pictures and videos of at CPW. There are three mysteries; maybe other bloggers will fill in the story. And there are two tributes to old friends.

First mystery: why are Trinidad and Lauren from the CPW team dancing in trench coats outside Johnson? It is mysterious. Maybe Victor will have some more information.

Second mystery: why am I wearing a suit near a wedding arch? Perhaps Anika has a story to share.

a photo of the green building with colorful lights and three people standing below it Third mystery: what was going on on the green building behind me, Danny B.D. ’15, and our friend Charlotte ’20 on Saturday night? I have a hunch Ellie may be able to explain more.

a photo of the author on one knee in front of another blogger at an event First tribute: Here I am, paying my respects to Snively’s cross-stitch livestream. Did you know Snively is almost as old as I am? He was supposed to interview me for my job but he skipped it to do something else. We were young together and now we are old together.

a photo of two people hugging near the boston marathon finish line Second tribute: the day after CPW ended was the Boston Marathon, with which I have a special relationship. So does my friend Henry, whom I am hugging here near the finish line, and of whom I am very proud. There are many beautiful things that happen in Boston CPW weekend, and this was a nice way to cap it.

More soon —  from me, and others.
