How do I track the progress of my application?

You may track the progress of your application in the application portal. Materials submitted through sources other than the application portal itself (Naviance, fax, mail, etc.) require at least three business days to be processed. Materials are not automatically loaded into a student’s application—all materials have to be processed.

We ask for seven business days to process materials at the busy Early Action and Regular Action deadlines.

If some of your application pieces are missing, please don’t panic. While it is important to submit your application on time, materials received after the deadlines are accepted and will be added to your application.

Supplemental items are not listed on the tracking site, but we’re happy to check receipt of items if you allow sufficient time for processing. Please send a detailed email to [email protected] describing the item you are checking on and the approximate date that it was received by MIT, and we’ll check to see if it’s been included in your application.
