Biography

I'm Victor!

I’m a ‘27 living on Putz in East Campus but I lived 2 happy years on B4 in Burton Conner!

I was born in Ventura, California but grew up in Camarillo, California in the aptly named Pleasant Valley (named due to idyllic year-round temperatures and nearly cloudless conditions). People (my dad) would recall horror stories about the weather outside of coastal Southern California but contrary to expectations I have come to relish Cambridge's seasonal diversity.

I’m a Course 11-6 (Urban Planning + CS)! Course 11-6 was partly why I committed to MIT, and my suburban upbringing led me to urban planning (so much for idyllic weather if you spend hours everyday behind the wheel). That’s why I love Cambridge: so many places to go, and so many ways to get there easily (my favorites being biking and walking).

In my free time, I enjoy reading (especially about urban history), writing, learning languages (I am not a 24-2; I keep the urges at bay), playing Smash Ultimate, playing music (VGO [Video Game Orchestra], Mariachi, jams, etc.), writing & arranging music, (mostly indoor) rock climbing, biking, and going on absurdly long walks.
