COVID-19

Learn more about how we are responding to COVID-19 in this blog post from our Dean and dedicated FAQs.

May I include supplementary materials with my application?

Our admissions process is designed to be completed online. Note that all materials that are not already electronic are scanned and uploaded; we cannot process non-scannable materials such as CDs, DVDs, books, slides, certificate binders, or newspaper clippings.

If there are other pieces of scannable information that you feel would add depth to your application, you can email them to us, or fax them to 617.687.9184, which will help us digitize and upload them most quickly. Be sure to include your name, date of birth, and application reference number (located on the right-hand side of your application status portal) with any document(s) you submit.

If you must mail materials to MIT, please use this address:

MIT Undergraduate Admissions Processing Center
P.O. Box 404
Southampton, PA 18966

Deliveries that cannot be sent to a P.O. address may be sent to:

Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
77 Massachusetts Avenue, Room E38-200
Cambridge, MA 02139
