Here’s something else to love about MIT!
The first semester at MIT is graded on a pass/no record basis: if you pass the class you get a “pass” on your transcript; if not, there’s no record you took it. The second semester is similar, except that if you pass, you get a letter grade of A/B/C.
As part of the flexible pass/no record grading option, you may designate up to 48 units to be graded on a pass/no record basis after your first term, and at any time during your course of study.
