Professor Justin Solomon on AI, math, and education by Chris Peterson SM '13

I’m a longtime dedicated listener to the Odd Lots podcast from Bloomberg, which covers finance, markets, technology, economics, and weird little supply chain facts.

So imagine my delight when I opened my feed last week and saw MIT’s own Professor Justin Solomon – Associate Dean of Engineering Education and member of the Committee on Undergraduate Admissions & Financial Aid that advises our work —  as a guest!

I thought it was worth sharing here because I always appreciate hearing Justin’s thoughts on education, science, and intellectual integrity (and not just because he’s a fellow bald bearded guy who wears sport coats sans ties and goes to the Z).

The first 50 minutes or so are about math, research, and AI generally; minutes 50-58 or so are about those things and the MIT education specifically (the audio version has more).

Hope some of our readers enjoy it too.
