With 33 varsity sports teams, MIT is the largest DIII athletics program in the nation. About one in four MIT students join a team during their time at MIT.
For students who want to stay active but who don’t wish to participate in varsity athletics, there are also more than 30 club teams and dozens of intramural sports available. Whether you’re a potential Olympic contender or if this is the first time you’ve ever thrown a frisbee, you’ll have an opportunity to exercise your body and mind at MIT!
Students interested in playing varsity sports should contact the coach of your sport by completing a recruiting form.
