Biography

Hi guys, welcome back to the channel - it’s Hala!

For the past four years, I’ve repeated this exact phrase at least once every single day. No, I’m not a famous YouTuber, but I do film daily 2-minute vlogs that live in my Snapchat memories - creating a constantly growing digital time capsule of my life.

So, it only felt right to kick off my blogging journey with this same intro!

Here are some important-to-know facts about me: I’m a current freshman hoping to major in 6-3 (Computer Science and Engineering) and want to work on developing medical devices once I graduate. I currently live in McCormick - MIT’s only all-female residence hall - and absolutely love it! I grew up in Southeastern Michigan (GO BLUE!) and yes, I’m already counting down the days until it’s winter in Boston.

Now, here are some actually important-to-know facts about me: if you ever spot me in real life, chances are that I’ll be wearing my noise-cancelling headphones, cycling between Taylor Swift, Noah Kahan, and the Hamilton soundtrack. I love binging a good TV show, so I’m always open to recommendations; currently, my go-tos are Grey’s Anatomy, Suits, and New Girl. Finally, I make the absolute best from-the-box brownies, and I’m always happy to share.

I hope you’ll enjoy watching me grow over the next four years - and maybe even find yourself falling in love with MIT alongside me.
