Leya E. '30

Biography

Hiya!

I’m Leya, a freshman from the great state of Illinois, home to Chicago and cornfields. I come from a place that combines both of these things, the Chicago suburbs, affectionately known as Chicagoland.

I’m a member of the ESG first-year community, and a new resident of 2 East in Next House! Luckily I love long walks.

I have an unhealthy obsession with hit Sanrio character Cinnamoroll, physics, and indie rock music. I will talk about these things, in addition to anything else I am interested in at the time, for far too long.

I have some very special skills including overdressing, overexplaining, and overthinking.

I have the same sense of humor as a middle school boy, and my physics teacher in junior year once suggested that I should get a hair bow that doubles as a throwing star, if that gives you any insight into how I am perceived.

I am a walking pile of contradictions. I have a short temper despite hating conflict, I hate getting dirty despite loving nature, and I want to study writing at a STEM school. :p

In high school, I thought I’d trimmed the tree of possible futures enough to have a clear path, but I’ve now found that path to be full of twists and turns and crossroads I could never have predicted.

There is no way to know if the path I forge is the right one, but I hope you will join me on the journey so we can figure out our paths together. <3
