Nicholas R. '29

Hi! I’m Nick, a sophomore majoring in course 10B (Biological-Chemical Engineering), currently living across the river at my fraternity, Zeta Psi. I grew up on Cape Cod, the arm-shaped peninsula sticking out of Massachusetts. More specifically, I’m from Hyannis—smack dab on the bicep.

I love creating things. I dabble in many different mediums, from painting and graphic design to sculpting and woodworking. I’m a huge fan of the horror genre, reality television, and nostalgic animated shows (like Gravity Falls and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated). I also like to stay active, whether it’s exercising at the Z Center, playing for MIT club hockey, or getting into heated spike ball matches with my friends on Kresge.

Before coming to MIT, I had to imagine it, and the blogs helped me do that. Now that I’m able to give back to this awesome platform, I hope to write candidly—about my highlights and frustrations, ambitions and regrets, and the parts of myself that I’m learning to reconcile. I’m excited to share snippets of my MIT journey with you. Thanks for tagging along!
