A Love Letter to Tetazoo by Anika H. '26

a valentine's day post

I sit upon this couch in stasis, with many better things to do, beholding the warmth that surrounds me. Your voices would sound like a cacophony to any other, yet to me they are the song that tells me I am home, should I finally get blinded by your light. This space we’ve created, and you, the stars who reside in it, are the microcosm of joy I stumbled upon three years ago and now can’t bear to leave. As I near the event horizon, time seems to slow down. I feel the seconds slip through my fingers, but I have also lived a million years for every season I spent with you, as you’ve taken the clock by its hands and dragged it with us on our adventures. We wait for the skies to darken and watch supernovas explode to a grand symphony, and then lay between pine trees, pondering the shimmering pinhole lights as we drive for hours under the deep blue river of the Milky Way. Half as long and twice as bright, and oh! How bright you burn! Each of your souls, dancing a unique and irreplicable flaming waltz, gathering gazes from far-off galaxies and newborn stars, soon to join us from their nebulae. If only I could paint all your swirling lights and colors, museums around the world would clamor for a piece of my canvas. I can’t stay here forever. In due time, you will eventually leave me behind, alone in the vast emptiness of space. But when I return to stardust, I wish to come back here to you, under my sky, my universe.

everywhere I go
I see your stupid grins
and it brings me joy to smell mischief in the air.

wrote this a while ago and figured this would be the time to post it <3
