It doesn’t snow too often in my hometown of Portland, OR. To be honest, my first year at MIT, the heavy New England snowfall surprised me. I was not prepared for how long the snowy months could last! But I find it very aesthetically pleasing. And since I’ll be leaving in a few weeks, along with most of the other students on campus, I’m glad I got a chance to enjoy the snow this season.
