Open Thread: Not Admitted by Decisions

There were many wonderful applicants to MIT this year, which unfortunately means that we had to turn down some great students. For those of you who fall into this category, this is an open forum for you to talk, shake it off, and remember that you will survive, even thrive, wherever you go; whatever you do. Stove-cook your oatmeal, do things that make you happy, and enjoy the small distractions of life. Graduating high school is a huge achievement and will still lead to new beginnings; welcome them with open arms.

We understand that this may be a difficult time for you, but we ask that you converse civilly and with the best of intentions, as that is the spirit of our process.
