What is Battlecode?

The 6.9610 Battlecode programming competition is a unique challenge that combines battle strategy, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. Student teams aim to write the best player program for the Battlecode real-time strategy game.

This is a one-month hardcore coding skills contest for both beginner and advanced coders. It’s a programming project that will help you develop your skills, amaze your future employers (our many corporate sponsors), earn MIT course credit, consume free food, and maybe earn a share of a $15,000 prize pool.
