What is the interview process?

Students applying for 2019 admission must submit Parts 1 and 2 of their application by November 1 for EA to be eligible for an interview in their home area. Interviews will be conducted from October through mid-November for EA and December through mid-January for RA.

After you submit your application, you may be contacted by an Educational Counselor (EC) if there’s one available. ECs will typically use the email address you provided on your application to contact you, so please monitor your inbox and respond promptly.

Interviews are not a required part of the MIT application. While we try to offer as many interviews as we can, we have limited availability in some areas and are not able to offer interviews to all applicants in-person or via Skype. If your interview is waived, it will not put you at a disadvantage in the admissions process.
