Ok, so long story short (I'll blog the whole thing later), I use firefox to remember my password to login to the MIT blogs website. I remember my username easily enough, but I could never remember my password very well, which is why I told Firefox to just remember it. It worked great, until a catastrophic hard drive failure over spring break landed me without a way to recover my saved passwords in firefox (my partially finished blogs too for that matter). So I started the arduous task of trying to guess MY OWN PASSWORD (Harder than you think). Obviously though, I've finally succeeded in hacking my own account, which presents a strange duality of feelings of both win and fail. Anywho, I'm back on track now. And here is a puppy for your trouble:

wait, there's no password for this.
please forget your decision page password
see above sentence contains six words
talents are covered with passwords, no MIT is not a videogame pack that gamers play over the weekend and save their game locked with a password.
let them remember their password and turn to their next firefox tab which says caltech.edu

read the last blog entries, even with the very last which are still on homepage, jump into ocean and swim, make yogurt and move your dorm walls. i bought two bananas and i'm looking for honey. my roommate left and took his oven, if i had oven now i would eat my second own-made yogurt friday morning. cut your hair and paste it into bathroom bin.

I had a question about majoring in Physics. I have only taken introductory Physics in high school because my school doesn't offer AP Physics. I'm pretty sure I won't be taking 8.012 or 8.022 - just sticking with 8.01 and 8.02. But I really really like physics, I want to major in it, but I know it's hard at MIT. Are there alot of physics students who took only 8.01 and 8.02 and survived? Thanks for your help!

Haha, actually, one of my friends forgot his password at pi minute. Twenty minutes. TWENTY - just sitting there guessing.

@ Chris
Thanks. I have the same problem remembering passwords too so I frantically saved all my passwords after reading your blog.

You should try KeePass Portable. As long as you don't lose your USB flash drive, you're good.

Puppies speak louder than words, after all. Assuming they're really yappy puppies.
That *looks* like a relatively yappy puppy ^.^

I actually use and recommend a program called TrueCrypt (google it) for file security. Since I have more sensitive information I like to keep than just passwords, it's a good solution. You can mount secure drives inside USB drives too.

8.01 and 8.02 are required classes, so I'd say there are a lot of students who survive (i.e. all of them). If you mean can you just take the "basic" level physics and still be okay to major in it, absolutely. In my opinion, 8.012 and 8.022 aren't harder by virtue of the physics being more difficult, they just tend to be more mathematically rigorous. Physics here is a bit different than it is in high school, but don't worry you'll be fine. After taking 8.01 and 8.02 I think you'll have a good idea of if you want to major in physics or not.
