The home of cool toys by Dave McOwen

the best way to spend a Monday

Chris M. scooped me, but I just couldn’t let a visit from the MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor pass without geeking out. I love airplanes, but the Osprey is by far the coolest toy in the inventory. So when I heard we were getting a fly-in for Marine Week Boston, I had to go see.

The weather was actually gorgeous yesterday, except for the 10 minutes at the proposed takeoff time. Well worth the spring shower, although I could have done without the coating of dirt (note to future Coure 16ers: that downwash is no joke).

One of my colleagues had a much better (and less “interactive”) viewpoint:

In other news, Happy Star Wars day! May the Fourth be with you!*

* I know it’s a tragic, horrible pun, but I just can’t help myself.

    OMG, that thing is MASSIVE! It should feature on X-machines some day. I saw its picture from Chris’ post but with no other object in the picture, you cannot make out its size accurately. I love machines! This is by far the coolest I’ve seen.
