First Midterm of The Semester by Afeefah K. '21

Here I go...

I have about 30 minutes before the first midterm of the semester. I just finished gulping down a breakfast burrito. Back in high school, I always had eggs before a big exam. It’s become one of my pre-exam routines. I missed dining hours this morning so I’m at Anna’s Taqueria because I can’t take an exam without scrambled eggs in my stomach.

I’ve been going through the same practice exams over and over again, but at this point my brain doesn’t want to do any more work. I’ve checked to make sure I’m stocked with pencils about five times now.  I think I’ve done all that I can to prepare.

I’m going to start the 15 minute trek across campus to get to Walker Memorial where the entire auditorium will fill with nervous MIT students. I’ll probably put on my head phones and listen to some upbeat music to get hyped up on my march over. Pray for me. Thanks.
