Biography
Hi! I’m Jessica, a first-year student living in Burton-Conner with an ever-growing (1,245 and counting) amount of notes app entries on my phone, which hopefully explains my love for writing. At MIT, I’m planning on studying Course 20 and Course 15-1 (biological engineering and business management), but I’m interested in lots of other fields, like public policy, design, and sustainability.
When I’m not in the classroom or exploring the BioMaker Space, I enjoy baking cute desserts, watching studio ghibli movies, and going on night walks with friends. I’m an avid stationary connoisseur, strawberry pocky enthusiast, and boba lover; I also love creating different forms of art through painting, bullet journaling, and origami.
I’m originally from Jim Thorpe, a small town in Pennsylvania that holds a special place in my heart. I also went to a super small high school with a graduating class of twenty-four students—needless to say, I have a lot to get used to in Boston and at MIT. I’m admittedly nervous about many aspects of college but equally excited to learn, and I can’t wait to share my discoveries of all the hidden gems that make MIT, MIT. *:・゚✧
