International Selection Day 1 by Matt McGann '00

*Update as of 2015: Early action is available to both domestic and international students.

I wore a tie today, which might clue you in to a selection committee meeting: it was the first day of international selection. The applicants we saw today were all fantastic, which makes choosing only 100 students quite difficult. Already we've had to make some very difficult decisions, and more to come tomorrow, as we hope to conclude selection of the international class.

Relatedly, I had a great meeting on Friday with the International Students Association (ISA) Executive Committee. ISA is a terrific support network for our international student community. The ISA also puts on some great events, including the I-Fair (International Fair), one of my favorite (and yummiest!) events of the year.

Tomorrow is a new day, and a new tie. I'm very much looking forward to the remainder of international selection!
