Photo Contest, Round 1 by Matt McGann '00
The first winning entry in the photo contest. What a view!
The Orientation photo contest is off to a great start. The first photo comes to us from freshman Arya ’10, an international student from Iran.
This photo was taken from Arya’s 15th floor room in the dormitory MacGregor House, just before sunset. The left half of the picture is the MIT campus (including the athletic fields and tennis bubble), and the Charles River, Massachusetts Avenue bridge, and city of Boston on the right half. What a view! (Click on the photo for a zoomed-in view)
Great Photo!
(What are the buildings on the right of the centre??)

Yay, that’s the suite I lived in junior year! Tell Arya to wave at A322 for me.
…but I would remind everyone that the room, lovely as it may be, is Arya’s *temporary* 15th floor MacGregor room!
Mind-blowing photo!
Surely u r an Indian. Guessed that from ur name. I am too, course u can guess it from mine too! I am an IIT-JEE aspirant. I am 17. I heard of MIT from 1 of my friends. But the admn procedure is still unclear to me. R U an NRI? How did u get into mit? I really dream hard of getting into it. Plz, can u mail me the briefs of the admn process. Will it be ok 4 u if I mail u for queries time & again?
Thanks awfully!
newayz, again a wonderful view!
