Many international applicants don’t have a school counselor. If you don’t have a school counselor, a principal, headmaster, registrar’s office, or other official at your school may send the materials typically fulfilled by a school counselor.
Add your equivalent school official with the “School Counselor / Secondary School Report” type in the “Recommendations” section of the MIT application. They will receive an MIT-specific Secondary School Report (SSR) form, in which they should upload the required official transcript and any other materials they may have. A school counselor letter of recommendation or school profile are not required for the MIT application; we only ask for them from applicants who have a school counselor.
