Open Thread: Deferred Early by Decisions

As you know, our Early Action application pool is very competitive, and unfortunately, we can’t admit everyone. If your decision was deferred, you are one of the applicants who are going to be reconsidered without prejudice in Regular Action. A lot of MIT students, past and present, were initially deferred; you can read about a few of them here, here, here, here, and most recently here and here.

Some of you may feel happy, some of you may feel sad, and some of you may have complicated feelings that you don’t know what to call; all of those feelings are perfectly okay.
