Dear {{FIRST_NAME}},01 this email came on monday, and i had time to kill (which is rare) so i sat down and filled out this incredibly long survey.

Every four years, MIT surveys all undergraduate students about various aspects of their academic and student life.

The survey is essential in helping us to better understand your experience at MIT—and more important, what we can do to make it better. For example…  Are you able to balance your academic and extracurricular commitments? Have your skills been enhanced while a student at MIT? How do you perceive the sense of community on campus? Do you feel MIT supports your personal wellness and well-being?

Please take a few minutes to participate and provide your perspective.

To thank you for your time, we will be awarding 150 TechCASH prizes (valued at $50 each) to randomly-drawn winners.

Note: This voluntary survey should take about 20 minutes to complete, and you may answer as few or as many questions as you wish. Be assured that the data are confidential, and the results of any research or analysis using the data will be presented in a way that individual respondents cannot be identified. If data from this survey are used for academic research, the same rules of confidentiality and reporting apply.

Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Ian A. Waitz
Vice Chancellor for Undergraduate and Graduate Education
Jerome C. Hunsaker Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics

Overall, how satisfied have you been with your undergraduate education so far?

I’m not sure how to answer this one.

I’m thankful for this.
