The first to comment on Matt’s EA decision entry? Is that a good sign?

What I’ve been wondering about is the fact that it says “last of the decision letters”….

So does that mean that some of the decisions were mailed before Friday afternoon?

  9. Anonymous says:

Heh, I’m really nervous about what my letter will be! Good luck to everyone!

  10. Olga says:

Getting the mail will be traumatizing for the next week.

    Good luck to all!

What a way to start exam week confused

  12. Anonymous says:

nah…i think it means that it took a few trips for the mailman to get all of the letters into his truck. they couldnt have been mailed before friday, because on ben’s blog, he said on friday morning that today would be mail day, and that they were still putting things together.

  13. Anonymous says:

It probably meant that he had to take the boxes out in more than one trip.

  14. Anonymous #2 says:

    Wow. That was kinda weird!

  15. Clark Poland says:

Am I the only one that sees that picture and thinks the guy is zipping up?

  16. Krish says:

So, I’m guessing MIT doesn’t use any fancy mail services and that it’s standard 3-day USPS service?

Well, if I’m really lucky, I might see mine tomorrow

(I’m in eastern New York State), otherwise I have to wait until *gasp* Monday.

I don’t think I even care as much what the decision is as much as I just want to have it over with. I obviously want to get accepted, but it’ll be a relief to have this waiting with (unless I get deferred… oh no)

    Good luck, everyone!

  18. Grace says:

    Kudos to the admissions committee!

  19. Jenny says:

    Hi Matt,

While I anxiously await the arrival of the mail in far-out California, I have a question: If we are deferred, may we re-write/re-submit our essays? And if so, should they be in by the RD deadline?

    Thanks!

    Jenny

    Hello Matt,

I’m actually a RA applicant from a local school in Hong Kong. I’ve taken the SAT 1 and I got 790 for Maths, 680 for reading, and 670 for writing. Do you think I should take the TOFEL?

    Thx for you advice!
