Math Prize for Girls

Every year, the MIT Department of Mathematics hosts Math Prize for Girls, where students solve multistage problems in geometry, algebra, and trigonometry. In October, there was a six-way tie between winners who successfully solved 15 out of 20 problems!

Applying STEM knowledge to public policy

Iselle B. '25 wanted to apply to MIT after participating in MITES (MIT Introduction to Technology, Engineering, and Science). On campus, she has explored ways to implement her STEM knowledge to work on global issues, from climate science projects through Terrascope or learning about policy in Washington, DC.
