You know it's bad when, at the Massachvsetts Institvte of Technology, everybody on your floor thinks you're obsessed with gadgets.
Hello, my name is Michael Snively*, and I'm obsessed with gadgets. I think it all started back in preschool when my parents would bring broken electronics home from Goodwill and I would take them all apart. Now, over a decade later, if you look in my room you'll find iPods, hard drives, a crazy-bright flashlight, a Wii, and even an OLPC.
I've lived in Salem Oregon** my whole life and am a member of the class of 2011. I now live in Burton-Conner with Laura, Jess, and Evan. That means I'm the rule-breaker who became the fourth blogger in a system with a three blogger-per-dorm limit. My bad.
There are two main things about MIT that make it the school for me:
> Great Engineering
> Great Hacks
If you don't know about Hacking at MIT then you should spend 20 minutes, right now, exploring this site. Right now, go!
Other than collecting gadgets I love to tell stories. When you combine gadgets and stories you step into the magical world of blogging. That's my job now, to use my powers of gadgetry for good and write exciting tales detailing the insanely strange and amazing things that happen here at MIT.
Armed with both a digital camera and a video camera, laptop, campus-wide wi-fi, and a propensity to blog just about everything (just ask my shirt), I'm ready to show you all just how amazing MIT is.
It is amazing. Absolutely amazing. I love my school.
*Snively rhymes with Lively
**Oregon is ONLY pronounced like this. That goes for the Oregon Trail as well.
