Biography

Hi! I'm Anthony, and I studied Urban Planning at MIT. Computers have been a big part of my life since I was very small, but I also enjoy a strong interest in transportation. In fact, I pursued a degree program to explore just that! I received my bachelor's and master's degrees from MIT's Department of Urban Studies and Planning, and now work in the transportation industry.

I've explored several continents aboard passenger trains, and had the awesome opportunity to work in the rail industry as a software developer while I was still in high school. After I graduated, I took a couple of years off, heard about the Institute from a co-worker, applied early, got in, and before I knew it I was on a plane to Boston with a bunch of my stuff!

I lived in the East Campus dorm for two years, then ended up moving off campus to share a house with some friends, and finally moved back on campus to the Ashdown graduate dorm while I did my master's. All things considered, it was the greatest challenge of my life, but a thoroughly rewarding one: I learned and saw things I never thought possible. It seems like every step of the way was clearly marked as long as I continued to follow my heart and believe. I invite you to do the same here at MIT. :-)
